Yosemite Fishing Report for February
The "All Year Section" of the Tuolumne River that runs from the north west border of Yosemite to the junction of the Clavey River is still super low as of Tuesday 2-27-18. The water was slightly dirty due to melting snow, but the fish were still active enough to rise off the bottom to each well placed nymphs. The water temp has decreased by 4 degrees in the past two days.

Yosemite Hatches: Large Stoneflies were out in good numbers, but the trout weren't rising to the top to eat them yet.

Best Flies as of 2-27-18: Large stoneflies or Pat's rubber legs were working well. Green and black, size 8 to 12.

There is a National Weather Warning for the next two days for the Yosemite region. They are calling for 2ft to 5 ft of snow above 7,000 ft and 1ft down to the 3,500 ft level. This will change the water temp and clarity for the next week, so be prepared to adjust to these upcoming conditions.
